Cilantro is often used in salsas, marinades, salads, as a seasoning for rice, and in tacos and other Mexican cuisine.The seed of the cilantro plant is known as coriander. Although cilantro and coriander come from the same plant, their flavours are very different and cannot be substituted for each other. Cilantro is easily confused with flat-leaf parsley so be sure to sniff carefully when selecting cilantro.
